Rock Solid Concrete
Ready Mix Concrete
Rock Solid Concrete produces and delivers quality ready mix concrete.
Ready-mixed concrete is produced from basic raw materials: Coarse Aggregates (Crushed and natural), Fine Aggregates (sand), Portland Cement, Supplementary Cementitious Materials (i.e., fly ash), water, and chemical admixtures. Concrete mixes are designed to meet defined strength, durability, permeability and surface finish specifications in the final product.
A primary component of ready-mixed concrete is Portland cement which is a finely pulverized grey powder made from calcined lime and clay. When Portland cement is mixed with water in measured amounts, a chemical reaction begins that will eventually result in a hardened substance. Simply speaking, concrete is the resulting product from adding coarse and fine aggregates in proper proportions to this Portland cement paste.
Ready-Mixed concrete is designed to achieve various strength and durability requirements by adjusting raw material quantities proportionally. Strength requirements on projects vary from basic residential concrete mixes, achieving strengths of 3000 psi, to commercial and structural concrete mixes which achieve strengths of 4-10,000 psi. Supplementary cementitious materials and chemical admixtures are important raw materials in reaching higher strengths. Additionally, these added raw materials improve concrete workability, durability, permeability, and finishing characteristics.
Ready-mixed concrete is produced with careful personal oversight through computer-controlled, certified batch plants at Rock Solid, and meets the strict requirements of the National Ready Mix Concrete Association (NRMCA) and the American Concrete Institute (ACI).
Optional Concrete Additives:
Concrete Color (For Color options, see, https://www.daviscolors.com/concrete-colors/)
Micro- Fibers (designed to help mitigate the formation of plastic shrinkage cracking)
Macro-Fibers (Alternative to Steel Fiber and Welded Wire Fabric replacement)
